Finding Myself Through Connection
We all wear identities defined by our titles—daughter, family member, mom, wife, friend, employee, entrepreneur, restaurateur, founder, podcaster, author. My life has revolved around these roles, and I have found meaning and self-worth in them for years. I craved the sense of purpose they gave me. But in recent years, I’ve embraced a title that truly captures who I am: a human being.
Being a human connected to God has grounded me in a way no other title could. This realization didn’t come quickly. It took a global pandemic and a seismic wake-up call to reshape my perspective.
The Pandemic Shift
When the world shut down, I had time to reflect. I wasn’t happy. My thoughts and beliefs, shaped early in life, were limiting me. I dove into personal development—courses, masterminds, events—and uncovered the roots of my patterns. Understanding the “why” behind my behaviors was eye-opening, but knowing isn’t enough. Transformation requires action.
I thought deeply about my sons, the people I love most. How have my unhappiness, frustration, and fear shaped them? How have my emotions affected my marriage and relationships? I realized the answer began with me. If I wanted to influence change in my family, I had to start with myself.
While “human being” is now my most cherished title, I invite you to explore my other roles: author, founder, consultant, and podcaster. Let’s connect and grow together.

One of the things I have noticed is that the person with the best storytelling and messaging skills, the ability to share and convey a vision, will convert.
